Clinique Moisture Surge gel moisturizer: This moisturizer is great. I was a little hesitant, as hearing the words ‘moisture surge’ made me initially panic. BUT it is a gel moisturizer, which are great for oily skin. This product doesn’t break me out and I’ve been using it almost exclusively since I opened it.
Colourpop Grunge lip pencil and lippie stix: My first Colourpop order! I love these products. They’re so affordable. The lip pencil is so creamy and it doesn’t feather which I appreciate so much. The color goes well with my skin tone, although I feel most skin tones can pull this off. The color is a bit like Maybelline’s Untainted Spice (listed below) but more brown. I get a lot of compliments on this one. I’m glad 90s colors are coming back because I was too young for makeup then!
Algenist concentrated color correcting drops in apricot: I got this product as a free deluxe sample from Sephora. I have a lot of hyper pigmentation and this product is supposed to be mixed in with you concealer or foundation and then applied to the face. I does make a difference in the darker spots which I stupidly picked at. I will purchase this in full size when I finish with this!
blackUp blush in ‘ultraviolet’: This blush is HIGHLY pigmented. I’ve always wanted a pink blush, but none suited my skin tone and when tested I just looked ashy. I love blackUp products because they are made for people of color. A little goes a long way with this product. I am definitely going to get a lot of use out of this for the summer!
Laura Mercier creme brûlée body soufflé: This stuff smells amazing! A little goes a long way. The scent is subtle and makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. Love. Love. Love. [EDIT: Just purchased the full size glass container AND accompanying body wash!]
Smith’s mandarin and rose lip balm: I used to be a Smith’s fiend back when rosebud salve first popped on the scene. I kind of grew out of it and moved on to other lip balms. At first they only had the pots and not the tubes. I eventually got tired of getting lip balm under my nails. However, my lips have been particularly dry this season, and nothing works like Smith’s. I was delighted by the different scents in TUBES! I love citrus scented items so I went with this one. It smells amazing and keeps my lips really moisturized.
Maybelline the nudes lipstick in Untainted Spice and Truffle Tease: The color of untainted spice is similar to Colourpop’s “Grunge” but a little less brown. I like to pair it with a wash of Truffle Tease, a nude shade, over the top for a softer effect. I wear this every day to work.
Boscia Detoxifying black cleanser: This cleanser is amazing. Unlike most, I’m drawn to its color. It even has tiny gold specks in it! You can feel it slightly tingling as it goes deep into your pores. When you first rub it together between your palms, it warms up. This really helps to shrink my pimples overnight and clean out my disgusting oily pores.
